Snow is in the forecast for Pembroke Pines from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Fifty tons of snow will be released at the Pembroke Pines City Center, 10300 Pines Blvd., for SnowFest. The event will bring together residents to help light up city hall with the mayor and characters like Rudolph, Frosty and Santa.
Santa’s Workshop, an event sponsored by the Pembroke Pines Home Depot, will be from 3-5 p.m. but participants must pre-register at 2 p.m. that day. Children will receive an “Elf Certification Certificate” and will be able to bring home their creations.
Other activities include: Visits with Santa, face painting, rides, games, arts and crafts, holiday performances, Santa’s Workshop, Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen and Mrs. Claus’ Bling Fling Holiday Jewelry Show and a food truck roundup.
Admission to the snow area will be $4 to $6.
