A teenager ripped the wheels off his late-model Porsche 911 when he spun out in excess of 100 miles-per-hour in front of the Miami Springs golf course
Nicolas Grandguillote, 18, of Doral, was tailing another car at a high rate of speed at noon on Nov. 8 along Curtiss Parkway, according to police. The road bends in a 45-degree angle upon entering the city off Northwest 36th Street and has a posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour. .
Grandguillote, the car’s registered owner, blazed through the turn at “100 plus” before he smacked his neon yellow , 350-horsepower coupe into the city’s welcome sign and some palm trees.
Grandguillote was treated at the scene for minor injuries and received a ticket for careless driving.
Damage to city property was estimated at $1,100. Grandguillote’s Porsche sustained about $15,000 in damage.
