I’m hearing the word “hate” in the context of our most recent election. I find this inaccurate and insulting. Having lived in times when there was cruelty and injustices, that word wouldn’t have been applicable even then. The use of that word today in the context of politics is not only wrong, it is insightful. As a child, I witnessed serious acts of brutality, and it wasn’t because of hatred of a race. We should respect the views of others without thinking of them as despicable opponents and a detriment to our country and future.
