The UN General Assembly saw fit to make the Palestinians, who were never a real country, a non-member state, in spite of their constant attacks on Israeli civilians and sending their own children as suicide bombers to kill other children.
Why not grant similar membership to any other aspiring groups that are peaceful, such as Tibet, a proud nation for centuries now occupied by China, or Taiwan, or the Basques of Spain, or the Kurds of the Middle East?
Why are the Palestinians rewarded for their violent behavior? Will this encourage other groups to seek peaceful means to advance their causes? I don’t think so.
