It’s that time of year when seniors have until Dec. 7 to sign up for Medicare plans. Each day I see ads trying to lure people to sign up for a health care plan. Since I’m under age, I have basic major medical, very expensive coverage with high deductibles, while I see my parents off to their doctors with no charge for anything. There were two healthcare vans in my neighborhood recently picking people up.
It’s very clear, that we need to clean this up and provide basic care for all. If Medicare had co-pays, paid the doctors decently and everyone was part of the system, paying a fair amount, I think it would work. Some who have high incomes, could pay more of a co-pay and even get luxury care as needed.
