There’s no argument to the supposition that our crushing national debt is the primary cause of our economic problems. The cause of this debt is simply that our government spends more than it takes in. Welfare programs have been the main recipient of this activity. History tells us, any democracy is prone to collapse if the political process is built on “vote for me and I will give you this and that.”
Make no mistake. Our debt will be managed or we will sink into depression.
Our high standard of living has been financed by deficit spending.
The only realistic solution is that everyone takes a hit.
