The golden couple is dimming.

A friend of Gwen Stefani told Life & Style that the platinum blonde rocker and hubby of 10 years Gavin Rossdale are going through a rough patch, though they hope counseling will help. “It’s certainly been challenging for us at times,” Stefani told UK’s Daily Telegraph. “We had to spend a lot of time apart because of our careers.” The Daily Mail posted pictures on its website of Rossdale hiking over the weekend in Southern California with his two young sons and nanny, who’s a dead ringer for a young Gwen. Stick a fork in it

Two celebrities are back on the market: Shia LaBeouf has split from his girlfriend of two years, stylist Karolyn Pho, Us Weekly reports. The couple, who first met at a karaoke club in Los Angeles, seemed to go their separate ways when LaBeouf started filming his upcoming movie Nymphomaniac, in which the actor partakes in real sex scenes.

Ashlee Simpson isn’t making beautiful music with Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza anymore. It’s apparently a long-distance issue.

Mommy’s genes

The 6-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith is walking in her mother’s shoes, taking a starring role in the spring ad campaign for Guess Kids. Creative director Paul Marciano says in a statement that Dannielynn Birkhead has the “same playful spirit” as her mother, who worked for the brand in 1992. Dannielynn’s campaign also stars Peyton Edmunds, the daughter of music producer Babyface.

Hagman sendoffs

Dallas actor Larry Hagman will be remembered this week during private, invitation-only services in both Dallas and Los Angeles. Hagman’s personal manager, John Castonia, told The AP the memorial services will celebrate the Fort Worth native’s life.

Freedom of speech

Brad Pitt is laughing all the way to the bank over those silly Chanel No. 5 ads, which were so incoherent that the spots were parodied on Saturday Night Live. “I say absolutely fair play, fair play,” Pitt, who reportedly made $7 million for the gig, told Access Hollywood.
