Don’t show up
Recently people were complaining about having to work on Thanksgiving.
Yet, when my son and I stopped by Dolphin Mall at 11:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving night just to see what was open, we found thousands of people shopping in a vibrant mall.
For years, my ex-husband who is a chef, had to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We worked the meals and gift opening around his schedule.
Many people prefer to go out for a meal with family on holidays. So if we feel strongly about protecting our holidays, we need to vote with our wallet.
Trust me, if people don’t show up, the stores will not open.
Your buying power and your freedom of choice is your opportunity to make things run the way you want them.
