Calder Casino & Race Course will have nine races Thursday with an early Thanksgiving first post of 11 a.m.
The featured eighth race is the $100,000 My Charmer Handicap (Grade 3) at 1 1/8 miles on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
It has an eight-horse field, with four entrants that race year-round at Calder and four that spend most of the year in northern states.
Speak Easy Gal appears to be the top contender among the Calder-stabled horses,
She is coming off a second place finish against males in the Bonnie Heath Turf Cup on Nov. 12 at Calder.
Speak Easy Gal led most of the way before losing by a neck to Bad Debt.
Trainer Marty Wolfson has given Hugo Sanchez the return mount on Speak Easy Gal, who again might seek to take the field gate-to-wire.
She is the 3-1 second morning line choice behind Naples Bay at 5-2.
This year, Naples Bay won turf stakes at Belmont Park and at Monmouth Park. She is trained by Christophe Clement and will be ridden by Luis Saez, who leads Calder jockeys in wins.
