For more than half a century the Cuban people have been deprived of freedom of expression, reunion and movement, free press, protection against unjust arrests and the right to a legal and impartial trial. Cuban prisons, that are nothing but filthy dungeons, are full of thousands of political prisoners whose only crime was to claim the rights that are inalienable to any human being.
This absolute control is incomprehensible to any person that hasn’t lived under this tyranny. Most consumer items including food and clothing have to be purchased in state-owned stores through rationing cards issued by neighborhood communist committees whose functions include spying and denouncing any dissident voice.
This totalitarian structure will be the spark that will create the social explosion that one day, not far in time, will amaze the world when an oppressed people will burst asunder tyranny’s chains and with the help of God will set itself free.
