Traffic on Interstate 95 was halted for about five hours Wednesday after a pedestrian was hit by three cars.

Northbound lanes at Stirling Road were closed from around 4 a.m. until mid-morning as police investigated and authorities removed a body from the highway.

Traffic backed all the way to Ives Dairy Road in North Miami-Dade and southbound traffic was slowed because of rubber-neckers.
