Lorena Garcia, Ken Lyon do dinners


Tickets go on sale at livingsocial.com on Thursday for a Dec. 1 dinner by Miami chef Lorena Garcia at her alma mater, Johnson & Wales University in North Miami. Cost is $89 for the four-course meal, $149 for a VIP upgrade that also includes a reception with the chef and a signed copy of her cookbook, Lorena Garcia’s New Latin Classics.

Ken Lyon stages a Fratelli Lyon dinner Wednesday at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach. A presentation by wildlife photographer Matt Stone will precede the 8 p.m. meal. Tickets are $65, with reservations available at fratellilyon@lyonandlyon.com.
