Real Housewives of Miami

Madonna vs. Elsa Patton!

Madonna may be unfashionably late (her Monday night show at AmericanAirlines Arena started at close to midnight due to technical difficulties), but the pop queen doesn’t miss much. While many people love to name drop the iconic ex-Miami resident’s name, her closely guarded camp wants it known that she never, ever hired erstwhile and eccentric Real Housewives of Miami cast member Elsa Patton as her personal psychic. Huh?

According to Purveyors of Pop, the show’s producers, via Twitter, “Did you know that #ELSA was #Madonna’s psychic advisor for years? #THETRUTH #RHOM.” That statement, says a mole in Madge’s camp, couldn’t be further from the truth.

Despite a Twitter response from Madonna pal Ingrid Casares trying to squash the rumor, Purveyors of Pop have continued to perpetuate it.

While Patton and her daughter Marysol met Madge many moons ago, that was pretty much it. No psychic connection there. As for Madonna commenting on the situation, only a true psychic will be able to get that out of her because she has no time for nonsense. “She wants nothing to do with the Pattons or the show,” says our source.

Lea’s world

Lea Black is expanding her empire. The gala queen just launched a set of affordable clutches (from $95 to $395) as well as luxurious, crystal-encrusted ones a la Judith Leiber with Lea’s signature tassel, from $795 to $3,495. Pillows, too (from $75), and eventually home goods. At least Black has a sense of humor about things. One cheeky satin pillow carries her RHOM opener: “I can deal with a lot of things, but I can’t deal with stupid.” Hmm, to whom is she referring? The items will be available for purchase in late November and sold exclusively online. Go to www.theworldofleablack.com for more info.

By the way, don’t expect any drama Thursday night; Bravo held the local ladies one week for Turkey Day. At least you won’t get indigestion.

Stevie Wonder sings at his own birthday bash

Stevie Wonder celebrated his 63rd birthday a week after the big day (May 13) with a private concert for almost 700 high rollers, VIP guests and media types Tuesday night at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The legendary Wonder performed for well over two hours, singing covers by The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley as well as his own greatest hits. Wonder also invited some of the audience, this writer included, to audition for him on his hit, Part Time Lover. While he told us we were better than the previous, uh, contestant, we’ll be keeping the full time day job.

    Amanda Bynes: hot mess extraordinaire

The term “hot mess” doesn’t come close to describing Amanda Bynes. The troubled actress appeared disheveled in a long blond wig and sweats Friday in a criminal court where she was charged with reckless endangerment. She was also charged with attempted tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors.
