Lindsay Lohan’s family is growing: Ashley Horn, 17, was just confirmed to be the actress’ half sister. Michael Lohan found out the news when he underwent a DNA test on The Trisha Goddard Show. Lohan, who had a tryst with Ashley’s mother had refused to pay child support. Lindsay, talking on Good Morning America Friday, claims to know nothing about this recent development.

Minor problems

Lohan’s not the only one with issues. L.A. County sheriff's detectives plan to present their findings to prosecutors in two separate investigations involving Modern Family’s Ariel Winter. Winter's mother claims that her daughter's 18-year-old boyfriend had unlawful sex with the 14-year-old actress. Winter is claiming her mother, Chrisoula Workman, physically abused her. The investigations began last month after a judge awarded temporary guardianship of Ariel to her adult sister, actress Shanelle Gray. Detectives have been unable to substantiate Ariel's abuse allegations as of yet. Next week there will be a hearing on the guardianship and control of at least $500,000 in assets.

In the clear

One bright spot: Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie will not face criminal prosecution after allegedly OD’ing on heroin in a college dorm at Hamilton College in Upstate New York. The Oneida County District Attorney’s Office is dismissing all criminal charges. Under state law, someone having a drug overdose can't be prosecuted. The so-called Good Samaritan 911 law was designed to reduce overdose deaths by encouraging people to call 911 without fear of being arrested for drug possession. Bon Jovi is scheduled to do a benefit concert for Hamilton in Times Square on Dec. 5. The father of four has yet to comment.

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested after a man told Oakland, Calif., police that the entertainer hit him over the head with a bottle. Williams was briefly taken into custody on suspicion of assault Wednesday night after the apparent victim said he was attacked aboard a tour bus that was parked outside a downtown hotel. Williams was released after investigators questioned him and several witnesses. In October, the Norbit star was detained by L.A. cops for pulling a gun on Faizon Love, but was not charged.

For stars, ‘Hangover’ was a game changer

Four years ago, Bradley Cooper had built a solid reputation as a scene-stealing supporting player. Ed Helms was best known for his sweet but buffoonish Andy on The Office.
