The man who accused Kevin Clash, the voice and puppeteer of beloved Sesame Street character Elmo, of an underage sexual relationship has recanted that claim, his lawyer said Tuesday. The claim was first published by TMZ.

Clash took a leave of absence from Sesame Workshop, the organization that produces Sesame Street, to challenge the allegations. It is unclear when he will return.

Andreozzi & Associates, a law firm that said it represented the accuser said in a statement that “he wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship.” The statement added, “He will have no further comment on the matter.”

The accuser’s identity has not been disclosed.

Clash, 52, said through a spokeswoman that he was “relieved.”

In other scandalous news, The daughter of rocker Jon Bon Jovi was arrested on drug possession charges after she was hospitalized after possible heroin use at in her dorm at Hamilton College in upstate New York. Stephanie Bongiovi, 19, was expected to be released from the hospital Wednesday.

    ‘Glades’ star Jordan Wall to appear at fundraiser, talks season 4

The South Florida-shot A&E cop “comedrama” picks up again Memorial Day, and one of its stars, Jordan Wall, is making the rounds Monday. The actor, who plays Daniel Green, the resident nerd in the medical examiner’s office, will appear at an event for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America 7-10 p.m. at Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines. Up for grabs will be an auctioned walk-on role on The Glades.
