Abuse on school bus

 

School bus attendant Darryl Blue was charged with choking an autistic boy for 45 minutes. The bus driver is videotaped laughing, suggesting the Broward School District is deficient in its hiring standards. The other tragedy is the statement by union rep Linda Lewis, who said, “I can’t see clearly that there’s being any abuse” and the child’s strap “may have been pulled a little too tight or something, I don’t know.”

The answer to that is to have Lewis sit in the same bus seat strapped in and have Blue sit behind her and pull on the same harness strap with the same force for 45 minutes...That way she can assess whether there was abuse.

    Teachers risk their lives

    Between the horrific shooting in Connecticut and the devastating tornado in Oklahoma, schools, tragically, have been at the epicenter of the carnage. In both cases, teachers put their lives on the line to protect their charges, innocent children, by placing themselves between the kids and harm’s way.
