Man found dead at Northwest Miami-Dade Metrorail station

The Earlington Heights Metrorail station was shut down earlier Monday as police investigated the death of a Miami-Dade Transit employee.

A tarp covered the body next the tracks at the station, at the intersection of Northwest 21st Avenue and State Road 112.

Miami-Dade Transit and police are still trying to determine what led to the man’s death.

While the station was shut down, officials ran a shuttle passengers between the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. station and the Culmer station. They are also busing passengers between the Earlington Heights station and the station at Miami International Airport.

The trains started running again at the station at about 2:30 p.m.
