Daniel Spas and Carolyn Chaney won gold in their respective events during Saturday’s competition.

Special to The Miami Herald

In team competition, Pine Crest won the girls’ 200 freestyle relay in an All-American automatic time of 1:36.38. The Panthers were awarded the gold after winner Bolles was disqualified for an early start.

Even though Bolles was disqualified in the relay, the school had enough points to easily win the girls’ team and boys’ team titles. The Bolles’ boys set four national records, including besting its own mark in the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays.
