It would seem hard to compliment anything about Florida’s election process this year, but the poll workers I observed as an official poll watcher truly merit praise. They were working in the trenches Tuesday of a Hialeah voting precinct. They were professional and dutifully followed every voting law. They did everything humanly possible to make sure each person in line got the chance to vote and waited the least amount of time to do so, even cutting cardboard boxes on folding tables to fashion six extra “privacy booths.”
These devoted workers understood the importance of their jobs. If only Gov. Scott did too.
