arivera@MiamiHerald.com

The Spinal Cord Injury Support Group of Broward is hosting a softball tournament at the Miramar Regional Park starting Friday and running through Sunday.

Fourteen teams from Florida and New York are competing to help raise money for people with spinal cord injuries. The money raised will go toward the upgrades families need to make their homes wheelchair-accessible.

As part of the fund-raiser, there will be a raffle of baseballs and jerseys autographed by the Marlins and performances by DJ E. Marie and DJ Dinero.

Games will be 7-10 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The cost to enter Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway, is $1.50.
