Channing Tatum: People’s sexiest man alive?

The anticipation is mounting! People’s annual Sexiest Man Alive cover comes out Nov. 14.

If you’re wondering who is joining the swoonworthy ranks of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, George Clooney and Bradley Cooper, a little birdie (OK, GossipCop.com) says Channing Tatum has a good shot.

And where is his Magic Mike costar Joe Mangianello in all of this? He’s not very hard on the eyes.

Affair of the heart

Dancing With the Stars all-star Kirstie Alley has a book to promote — The Art of Men — so she’s dishing. Alley told Entertainment Tonight that she and Patrick Swayze fell in love on the set of 1985’s TV movie North and South. Problem: The two were married, she to Parker Stevenson (whom she later divorced) , and Swayze, to Lisa Niemi. Alley said they never consummated their relationship; it was more of an emotional thing. She spills more on Good Morning America Wednesday.

Liar, liar

Lindsay Lohan will be charged with lying to police, after she claimed she was not behind the wheel of her Porsche when it crashed into a big rig on the Pacific Coast Highway in June, according to TMZ. Lohan told police her assistant was driving when the luxury sports car collided with the 18-wheeler but multiple witnesses said it was La Lohan. The case will be filed as a misdemeanor by the Santa Monica City Attorney.

Bud out!

Denzel Washington’s portrayal of a highly functioning alcoholic pilot in Flight isn’t going down well with Anheuser-Busch. The company has asked Paramount Pictures to obscure or remove the Budweiser logo from the film. Washington’s character frequently downs vodka too. William Grant & Sons, which distributes Stolichnaya in the U.S., also said it didn’t license its brand for inclusion and wouldn’t have given permission if asked. Studios are not obligated to get permission before featuring a product in their work, the AP reports.
