“When the bell rings, all the pain and sacrifice and injuries you pretend you don’t have, it goes away, and it is the best feeling...Just being in front of people, no matter how big or small the crowd is, feeling their energy, hearing them, whether they’re booing or cheering, it’s worth it for that...It’s really, really hard and really, really, really fun.”
Ziggler is supportive of his younger brother, Pierce, an entertainer who is learning the wrestling side from an experienced WWE NXT staff. The feeling is mutual. When Pierce attended college in Cincinnati, he spent Wednesdays driving to Louisville to watch his brother in Ohio Valley Wrestling, the then feeder group to WWE. Seeing his brother perform/wrestle in front of the OVW crowds made Pierce realize it’s its own art form, something of interest.
Pierce studied English with a minor in theater at Xavier University, home of the Musketeers in Cincinnati. Good basketball. He earned a Master’s degree in English, and he also wrote a book, “I Can Make Out With Any Girl Here,” a funny novel about a college freshman who gets into some trouble his first semester. It does not appear to be an autobiography.
After testing his set (stand-up) in comedy clubs and improvs, he decided pro wrestling/sports entertainment is the way to go. He always felt somewhere down the road the path of his journey would turn to WWE. Doing it on his own, it started in 2010 with OVW. He then inked a developmental deal with WWE in 2011.
A multi-talented superstar, he’s been a wrestler, an interviewer and a pre-show host.

• WWE NXT will be returning to South Florida for two shows on consecutive nights in February. One at the War Memorial Auditorium, the former SoFlo wrestling home of the original ECW in Fort Lauderdale, and the other at the Magic City Casino in Hialeah.
• WWE NXT tapes shows periodically at Full Sail University in Winter Park, near Orlando. They also tour weekly throughout Florida with occasional appearances by WWE superstars and divas. A fun time for fans of all ages in a family-friendly environment, it’s well worth the price of admission.
