In “Satie Plus Six,” New World Symphony musicians offered an afternoon of lighthearted chamber music by a group of early-20th century Parisian composers who shared a passion for Erik Satie’s simple, satirical music. The Sunday afternoon concert at New World Center proved that even the lesser-known members of Les Six wrote entertaining, humorous, and occasionally profound music.
