Horoscopes: What do the stars have in store for you?

If today is your birthday: This could be one of those years where everything seems to go smoothly, for the most part. You could end up creating obstacles for yourself, though, if it is in your nature to do so. You are more in control than you might realize. If you are single, you could meet someone quite exotic and interesting, especially after spring. If you are attached, the two of you flow well together. Plan on taking a special trip together. Cancer understands you well.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): If you feel like going to church, go. Or just take a drive somewhere. You might enjoy the spirituality of nature during the fall season. Make plans where you can detach and tune in to a more detached, yet loving, person. You understand more than you know about a loved one. Tonight: Put on a great piece of music.

This Week: Emotions are fine. Use them to direct you.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): You seem to be drawn to spending quality time with a special person in your life. A partner might be a little unstable and emotional right now. Express your support in a manner that can be seen and heard. Tonight: Pitch in.

This Week: Work with individuals. Don’t hesitate to seek out an expert for advice.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Touch base with friends and loved ones. You might want to ask someone who seems a little blue to join you. Your efforts will pay off, as this person’s change of attitude becomes evident; however, on some level, you might have complicated your day. Tonight: The more the merrier.

This Week: Others run with the ball, which frees you up.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): A suggestion revitalizes your interest in a special undertaking. You might be able to visit with a pal while completing a phase of this project. Someone you admire has quite a few questions. Step up to the plate and answer them. Tonight: Make it easy.

This Week: Working hard leads to playing hard.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): You, of all signs, understand what it means to be deeply emotional. If you start to feel sorry for yourself in a particular situation, do your best to revise your thinking. Know that as long as you keep feeling, your mood will change. Follow this special internal thermostat. Tonight: Love the one you are with.

This Week: Tap into your imagination, and you will find solutions.

Aries (March 21-April 19): You could feel an excessive amount of pressure emerging from a domestic situation. Do not let the issue build or continue to float around in your head. Sit down in a friendly atmosphere, where both you and the other party can relax. Calm discussions seem to resolve any problem right now. Tonight: Comfortable at home.

This Week: Reach out to a child or loved one. Clear the air.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Make calls, reach out to others and connect with those you care about but often do not have enough time for. You will be able to tell how much you mean to someone by the lilt in this person’s voice when he or she speaks to you. Tonight: Hang out with a friend.

This Week: A domestic or personal issue could be more important than you think.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Listen to news carefully, and be willing to extend yourself a bit further in order to make a project or situation easier. You also could feel as if you need to spend a little more money than usual. Just don’t make yourself uncomfortable. Tonight: Your treat.

This Week: Move quickly on Monday. Get a lot done then and also on Tuesday.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Your personality comes out more than usual. You seem to be able to manipulate others, but you choose not to. You evoke positive responses when you are upbeat yet sensitive, as you are today. Remember this moment when you feel as if you’re hitting a wall. Tonight: Whatever makes you smile.

This Week: Handle finances before they handle you!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): You might want to share some peaceful time with a loved one and/or a family member. Whether opting for a leisurely stroll in the late morning or throwing yourself into a favorite game or hobby makes no difference. The togetherness is the objective. Tonight: Live in the moment.

This Week: You hit your power days by midweek. Use them well.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You’ll want to be where your friends are. The theme of celebration and compassion marks this weekend. Consider inviting a friend who often is alone to join in. Remain sensitive to others -- not everyone feels as good as you do. Tonight: Where the gang is. This Week: Zero in on groups, and ask for the support you need.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Pressure continues to build. You could clear up a lot of the tension by realizing that it is you who is imposing a judgment on yourself. You have the power to let go and relax for a while. Why not? Reach out to an older friend or relative. Tonight: A force to be dealt with.

This Week: Cohorts set the stage. Go with their offer.
