The Big Island’s ’Imiloa Astronomy Center is now home to the latest addition to the Sagan Planet Walk, which is now the largest exhibit in the world. A walking model of the solar system, the Sagan Planet Walk starts with the Sun station located in downtown Ithaca, New York to the dwarf planet Pluto located less than a mile away at the Sciencenter of Ithaca. The station representing Alpha Centauri, the star nearest to the Sun, was installed last month at ’Imiloa to complete the world’s largest exhibit, measuring 5,000 miles from end to end.
