Miami Heat

2012-2013 Miami Heat roster

•  Inside scoop: Haslem has been slowed in camp with a leg injury and seemed to battle nagging problems last season as well. He ended up averaging six points and seven rebounds in a backup role. Haslem was called upon when Bosh was hurt in the postseason and could see his minutes improve again this season if something were to happen to Bosh.

SG JAMES JONES

•  Age: 32.

•  Pro: 10th season.

•  Height, weight: 6-8, 215.

•  Inside scoop: The former Miami American and UM standout put off retirement after last season’s championship run to go after another. Jones is a strong bench player, although Miami going after Ray Allen will most definitely affect Jones’ minutes.

PF RASHARD LEWIS

•  Age: 33

•  Pro: 15th season.

•  Height: 6-10, 230.

•  Inside scoop: Named Mr. Basketball USA four seasons before LeBron James won it for the first time, Lewis skipped college and was taken by Seattle in the second round of the 1998 Draft. Lewis has been slowed by knee problems the past few years. Miami hopes Lewis returns to the form he showed in Orlando in 2008-09 when he averaged almost 18 points.

SF MIKE MILLER

•  Age: 32.

•  Pro: 13th season.

•  Height, weight: 6-8, 210.

•  Inside scoop: Miller was slowed during the playoffs due to various injuries — but that didn’t stop him from having a memorable Game 5 against the Thunder when Miller scored 23 points in Miami’s championship, draining seven of the eight three-pointers he faced. Miller has been limited in training camp.

•  Pro: Third season

•  Height, weight: 6-11, 285.

•  Inside scoop: Pittman had a big opportunity when he was put in the starting lineup for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at Indiana.
