Key dates for Miami Heat in 2012-13 season

FRIDAY NOV.2, 8 P.M.

HEAT @ KNICKS AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

The Heat’s first away game is one of the best of the season. Early visit from the Heat means the Garden will be rocking. Unfortunately for fans, Amare Stoudemire won’t be playing due to a knee injury.

THURSDAY NOV.6, 8 P.M.

HEAT VS. KNICKS AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENA

Stoudemire should be back in action when the Knicks visit Miami in early November. Hide the fire extinguishers!

TUESDAY DEC.25, 5:30 P.M.

HEAT VS. THUNDER AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENA

The Finals rematch is the NBA’s marquee regular-season game of the year. After playing against each other in The Finals, LeBron James and Kevin Durant teamed up together for the Olympics and then worked out together in preparation for the season.

FRIDAY JAN.4, 7:30 P.M.

HEAT VS. BULLS AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENA

The Bulls always give the Heat fits during the regular season. With or without Derrick Rose, you won’t want to miss Chicago’s first visit to Miami of the regular season.

TUESDAY JAN.8, 7 P.M.

HEAT @ PACERS AT BANKERS LIFE FIELDHOUSE

A lot of bad blood here after last season’s second round. Pacers coach Frank Vogel is already accusing the Heat’s defenders of flopping.

THURSDAY JAN.17, 10:30 P.M.

HEAT @. LAKERS AT STAPLES CENTER

A possible preview of The Finals, the Heat meets the new-look Lakers for the first time. The final game of a six-game road trip, this game will be difficult.

SUNDAY JAN.27 1 P.M.

HEAT @ CELTICS AT AT TD GARDEN

Ray Allen’s first game in Boston will provide the backdrop for one of the most anticipated games of the regular season in the NBA.

WEDNESDAY JAN. 30 8 P.M.

HEAT @ NETS AT BARCLAYS CENTER

The Heat’s first visit to Brooklyn will be a festive atmosphere.

SUNDAY FEB.10, 3:30 P.M.

HEAT VS. LAKERS AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENA

Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant bring their traveling circus to Miami for the biggest home game of the regular season.

MONDAY MARCH 18, 8 P.M.

HEAT @ CELTICS AT TD GARDEN

The NBA did Miami no favors in scheduling its final game in Boston of the regular season as the final game of a three-game road trip.

SUNDAY APRIL 14, 1 P.M.

HEAT VS. BULLS AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENA

The third to last game of the regular season. The Heat could be resting starters by then or it could be playing for home-court advantage in the playoffs.
