Miami-Dade Transit announced it will provide regular weekday service on Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover and Special Transportation Service on Friday.
However, the department will closely monitor the strength of Hurricane Sandys winds. It is encouraging Metrorail and Metromover patrons to take precautions against strong winds on Friday stand at the center of station platforms and not at the edge.
If weather conditions worsen and wind gusts gain strength, for the safety of transit patrons, MDT may temporarily close selected Metrorail and Metromover station platforms and keep patrons at the lower level of the stations until conditions are deemed safe to resume regular service.
Flooding and road debris may also cause some service delays on Metrobus.
