Gulfstream Park opened its main track for training Tuesday morning, welcoming horses from the barns of Lisa Lewis, Ralph Nicks, Antonio Sano and Marcus Vitali.
The first horse on the track was the Vitali-trained Forbidden Brew at 6 a.m.
Gulfstream opens its 2012-2013 season Dec. 1 with the $850,000 Claiming Crown.
Kentucky Derby champion Animal Kingdom was unable to go out a winner, fading quickly and finishing 11th in the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday in his last race before retirement.
Animal Kingdom came up short in an attempt to add the Queen Anne Stakes title to his 2011 Kentucky Derby win and Dubai World Cup championship from earlier this year.
