Re Oct. 24 article For some city hires, job needs put aside: I have been a resident of Miami-Dade County for more than 60 years. For that reason I think I can comment on the changes that have happened through the years. The city of Miami hires those who do not possess the minimum requirements for the position they receive.
They do this in most of the third-world countries, or is it just nepotism?
To top it off, the present elected officials condone the practice of waiving the credentials needed – unbelievable is an understatement. How much are these unqualified directors and managers being compensated?
When will the people wake up and start complaining? It’s about time for something to happen.
