Bobby Brown arrested for DUI

Things were going so well for Bobby Brown and then he went and got himself hauled off by the cops. Brown was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving again.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Venus Hall told the Associated Press that the singer’s car was stopped in the Topanga area at around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say he was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence at the Van Nuys jail but was later released on his own recognizance.

This is nothing new at all. Brown knows the drill. The 43-year-old pleaded no contest to DUI earlier this year following a March arrest in Los Angeles. Under a plea agreement, Brown checked himself into a rehabilitation center in August.

Life is good, right? Brown’s first album in 14 years came out this summer and his daughter Bobbi Kristina just got engaged to her adopted brother. MediaTakeout.com reports that she is currently pregnant, and has pictures of her in a white tight dress, sporting the teeniest of bumps.

That’s her prerogative, you know.

Meanwhile, On Our Own, the series following how Whitney Houston’s family is coping since her February death, debuts Wednesday night on Lifetime, but the former New Edition singer is not expected to participate.

It’s unclear what the 43-year old R&B legend did to raise cops’ suspicion, but good old TMZ reports that Brown was weaving in between lanes. After being pulled over, an officer smelled alcohol and gave him a field sobriety test — which he failed.
