Bradenton Herald

Two burglary suspects were arrested after they got lost while trying to leave the neighborhood and drove by the crime scene while deputies were there investigating, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 5:20 a.m. Monday, a neighbor saw Darien A. Caruso, 19, and James Hardy, 19, carrying items from a Bradenton house and called 911. While deputies were investigating, they drove by the crime scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

"They were lost in the neighborhood and trying to find their way out," according to the report.

Deputies stopped the car and located items belonging to the victims in plain view.

Caruso and Hardy were arrested and charged with armed burglary.
