Traffic alert: Commercial Boulevard closed in Tamarac after fatal crash

All of lanes of Commercial Boulevard near Northwest 31st Avenue were shut down Tuesday night after a fatal crash, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 2900 block of Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac. An adult pedestrian was killed, BSO said.

Soon after the crash, deputies closed down the boulevard from Northwest 31st Avenue to the 2800 block so traffic homicide detective could investigate what happened. It was unclear Tuesday night when the roadway would reopen.

BSO said no other information would be available until Wednesday.
