Who won the final presidential debate is something that we will be learning in the coming days. Yet, one thing is sure: America won. By solidly coming out on the side of peace and against recklessly sending our young to wars abroad, Mitt Romney made clear that he won’t be repeating the tragic democracy-building-by-force delusion that characterized the last Republican administration.
Ronald Reagan’s foreign and domestic policies seem to be his model. His position — peace through strength — coupled with his superior business knowledge and the collective dread of a return to gridlock assured for him the independent vote.
