On Oct. 5, my 20-year-old daughter was pulled over by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper for a moving violation and received a citation. What’s upsetting isn’t the ticket she was given, but rather a comment by the state trooper. He said, “By the way, you might want to take that sticker off your car.” My daughter asked, What sticker? He replied, “that Romney sticker.”
State troopers shouldn’t use their authority to challenge others’ political beliefs.
