BSO identifies body that washed ashore in Deerfield Beach

 

Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives have indentified the body that washed ashore in Deerfield Beach early Wednesday.

The man is Jay Harper, 47, of Southbury, CT.

A BSO deputy on ATV patrol discovered Harper’s body about 3:16 a.m. in the 900 block of Southeast 21 Avenue in Deerfield Beach.

The exact cause of death is unknown as are the circumstances surrounding Harper’s death.
