A man was shot dead Tuesday while he stood outside his West Flagler home, according to Miami police.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Northwest 34th Avenue, Miami police spokesman Sgt. Freddie Cruz said. Carlos Amores, 48, was shot multiple times and died a short time later at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

The man’s father, Rene Rogue, told Miami Herald news partner WFOR CBS 4 that his son lived in the house with his mother. He said Amores was on his way to work when he was killed.

“If he had any enemies he never told me,” Rogue told the station.

Anyone with information is asked to Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
