Hurricanes coach Al Golden on Monday called his relationship with FSU coach Jimbo Fisher “very positive. “They’re on one side and we’re on the other, [but] at the end of the day it’s professional, it’s courteous, it’s genuine. I think there’s a mutual respect there.”

Golden named tailback Duke Johnson, tackle Ereck Flowers, linebacker Eddie Johnson and safety Deon Bush as freshmen who have impressed him “the most” this season. He then named cornerbacks Tracy Howard and Antonio Crawford, as well as defensive tackles Corey King and Dequan Ivery.

• The newest depth chart has former middle linebacker Denzel Perryman back on the weak side. At middle linebacker, it’s Gionni Paul “or” Jimmy Gaines “or’’ Raphael Kirby. Bush has passed A.J. Highsmith at first-team safety, with Kacy Rodgers ahead of Vaughn Telemaque “or” Rayshawn Jenkins on the other side.

At quarterback, it’s the injured “Stephen Morris “or’’ Ryan Williams.

•  Gray Crow is playing the role of FSU quarterback EJ Manuel on the scout team.
