Maturing Jeff Hardy appreciates another chance from TNA

Hardy challenges TNA champ Austin Aries at Bound for Glory

Miami Herald Writer

“…Chris [Jericho] is a huge inspiration. I love that he disappears for a while and does the Fozzy tours. That inspires me to follow that path in some way. He is a huge inspiration.”

Aside from his theme music, Hardy expresses himself before stepping foot in the ring with his colorful face paint. Each night is another unique work of art. The veteran has always looked for ways to stay exciting and try new things. Sometimes it has great results and others it doesn’t, like his heel turn at Bound for Glory in 2010.

“It was a cool experiment, but it was impossible to pull off,” Hardy said. “Overall the fans like me either way. It was fun for me, as far as expression. I kind of needed that at that time in my life…There is always room for change, whether it’s good or bad. That was a bad decision and a bad change. I don’t regret it.”

Bound for Glory is a time of celebration and reflection for TNA and its roster. Hardy looks forward to the company becoming bigger and better. Perhaps, with him as the champion come Sunday.

He said: “I think another goal, through TNA and while I’m wrestling, is to perform these songs when they come out. We have a lot of room to grow. I think we are evolving perfectly. Things are just happening.”
