Keys Gate cools down HEAT

Special to The Miami Herald

Quarterback Zachary Ward threw for 166 yards and one touchdown to lead Keys Gate to a 16-13 victory over the South Florida HEAT on Wednesday night at Harris Field.

“This win rests some of the worries that we couldn’t do it anymore,” Knights coach Roger Morgan said after his team snapped its three-game losing streak.

“We got a little bit of our fire and confidence back [Wednesday].”

Keys Gate receiver Renel Moreau had five catches for 93 yards and one touchdown. In the losing effort for South Florida, quarterback Greg La Stella threw for 72 yards.
