FSU’s Jimbo Fisher has high praise for Boston College

Miami Herald Writer

The schedule offered up just what a frustrated Florida State team needed.

After being upset by North Carolina State last weekend, the Seminoles on Saturday face Boston College, a team that has yet to beat an FBS opponent and lost to Army this past weekend.

Still, coach Jimbo Fisher was quick to praise the Eagles’ offense on Wednesday. “They’re throwing for 311 yards a game … ” he said. “They’re much more explosive and much more consistent and they’re putting a bunch of points on the board.”

• With FSU’s national title hopes all but sunk, the team has set its sights on what it can still accomplish, namely winning out and bringing an ACC title back to Tallahassee.

“We can’t let [the N.C. State loss] change what we still can accomplish around here,” senior linebacker Vince Williams said. “I mean, we haven’t won an ACC championship since 2005 so we still want to get that.”
