I recently received my absentee ballot and after spending some time trying to understand the wording of some of the questions I decided to seek help. Several educated people were as baffled as I was until I ran into a biblical scholar who explained it. He said we had to take time to reflect on past history to comprehend the present. Looking back he reminded me of the egos of our politicians and the follies of our buildings dating back to the first Miami Arena to the Marlins ballpark and Parrot Jungle and the yet to be completed museum park. After his explanation I put on a blindfold and filled out my ballot. I can now see Miami’s future in a much clearer light.
