Course teaches Broward kids there’s more to eat than chicken fingers

A free three-session cooking classes for children ages 8-12 is being offered to teach the importance of proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.

The first class will be Saturday will focus on teaching the children how to cook three healthy breakfast choices. The Oct. 20 class will teach dinner recipes and the Oct. 27 will focus on lunch.

The classes will last two hours, staring at 10 a.m. at Publix, 1181 S. University Dr., Plantation.

There is limited attendance and participants must register in advance by emailing communityrelationssf@cvty.com.
