Good sales
They’re not Harry Potter numbers, but sales have been stellar for J.K. Rowling’s adult novel The Casual Vacancy.
The book exceeded the expectations of publisher Little, Brown in its first six days in stores, selling 375,000 copies in all formats.
“We believe it is on track to become the year’s bestselling novel in hardcover,” says Michael Pietsch, executive vice president and publisher of Little, Brown.
