As I read the story of Jose Godinez-Samperio, I have mixed feelings. I applaud his ability to get through the required schooling; however, I have questions.
How did this young man go through college and then law school with no Social Security number? Are we no longer a nation of laws? Is it now a question of selecting who can break the law and who must adhere to it? Should the legal, American folks take a back seat to an undocumented individual who is to be rewarded for breaking the law?
I wish Mr. Samperio success, but perhaps he must rethink his desire to illegally take the bar exam and consider the fact that his goal must be achieved lawfully, not with a ruling from a court?
