After a tough road victory last weekend against South Florida that many around Florida State chalked up to a learning experience, coach Jimbo Fisher was encouraged by the week of practice his team put in leading up to the N.C. State game Saturday.

“I really liked practice this week,” Fisher said.

“I think the kids showed a good focus and rejuvenation. Their minds are back in a good spot; [they] understood what it takes to go on the road. I think they learned a good lesson last week as far as you got to be ready to play all the time.”

Duo Done for the year

FSU ended any speculation regarding the status of defensive linemen Chris Casher (freshman) and Jacobbi McDaniel (senior).

Both players will miss the rest of the 2012 season with injuries.

Casher injured himself during limited action, and McDaniel is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained last season.

Both players might redshirt.
