Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is headed to St. Petersburg on Friday for a rally.
Romney’s visit comes roughly two weeks after he went to Sarasota for a rally that drew about 4,000 people.
Friday’s rally is expected to start at 6:15 p.m.
Romney’s announcement preserves Florida’s streak of having someone from one of the presidential tickets — or their wives — visit each week since the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
Next week is set, too, because President Barack Obama plans a campaign stop in Miami on Oct. 11.
