More than 400 jobs available for veterans at Davie job fair

Military veterans out of work will have access to more than 400 job openings and government programs aimed at starting a small business at a daylong career event dubbed “Hear Their Voices: Hire a Hero.’’

The job expo for veterans will take place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Signature Grand, 6900 W. State Road 84 in Davie.

The event will feature 30 businesses looking to employ, including Bank of America, Budweiser and Home Depot, and guest speakers State Sen. Maria Sachs and Broward Sheriff Al Lamberti.
