Under new ownership and without a brand affiliation, the Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Weston will undergo extensive renovations.

Formerly the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure, the property at 250 Racquet Club Rd. will get upgrades to the lobby, an expansion of the main restaurant and changes to the conference center, including improved technology and an additional 4,800 square feet. An exact time frame and price tag for the renovations were not available, but the multi-million dollar project is expected to take place over the next 15 months.

Hospitality Investing Group bought the 500-room property earlier this year; last month, Benchmark Hospitality International announced it would manage the hotel. The hospitality management company also manages Marenas Beach Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach and ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa.
