In celebration of World Rabies Day, the Animal Welfare Society of South Florida will be offering free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at 2601 SW 27th Ave. in Miami.
Vaccines and office visits are completely free, though pet owners may be required to purchase mandatory Miami-Dade County Rabies tags.
Pet owners will need to provide proof of their pet’s prior rabies vaccination. Puppies and kittens must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be on a leash; cats must be in carriers.
